Accounting Assistant for a renowned International Services Firm
We are looking for an Accounting Assistant -interested in working in an international environment- to perform day to day accounting tasks to support the company’s finance team in an entry level role.
Essential requirements:
Degree in Accounting or Finance.
Over 1 year of professional experience.
Fluent in English (spoken and written). Additional language skills would be a plus.
IT literate: at ease using Office Suite, Sharepoint and web-based tools.
Key competencies:
Ability to organize, prioritize, and manage multiple tasks in a dynamic environment with several interconnected entities.
Ability to work independently and in a team environment, with a flexible and proactive approach to problem-solving.
Excellent attention to details and ability to maintain accurate records.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Main Tasks and responsibilities:
Provide accounting and clerical support to the Finance department.
Manage Accounts Payable and Receivable subledger (record invoices and payments, reconcile open amounts).
Prepare and record bank payments.
VAT tax return and reconciliation.
Assist in processing expense reports.
Research, track and restore accounting or documentation problems and discrepancies.
Function in accordance with established standards, procedures, and applicable laws.
Constantly update job knowledge.
Working hours and office location in Montevideo:
Monday to Friday, from 8 am to 5 pm. Offices by WTC.
Compensation package:
The successful candidate will be hired as an independent contractor and will invoice the monthly fee plus VAT. The company is open to negotiate bonuses and additional benefits to ensure the best package for the role.
